Old Mill Wrestling Takes Second Place at County Championships

The Patriots had several second-place finishes in individual weight classes as they fell to South River by 31 points.

Old Mill High took second at the Anne Arundel County Wrestling Championships Saturday, a somewhat disappointing finish considering the Patriots' for the season.

Finishing the meet with 159 points, Old Mill wasn't able to catch up with South River, who racked up 190 points to take home the title. With top three finishes in seven of the 14 weight classes, South River's overall team performance earned the victory.

Both Old Mill and South River finished with two victories in separate weight classes, but it was the holistic performance of South River that kept the Patriots at bay.
