Children of Open Door After School Care at Ridgeway Elementary

• Age: First to fifth grade 
• School: Ridgeway Elementary
• Accomplishment: The students, beginning around Thanksgiving, helped raise money and donated over 200 toys for children in need. 
• Key to Awesomeness: As reported here and here on Severn Patch, the children began an initiative that encouraged people within the community to donate brand-new toys to children in medical conditions and other forms of need. Guided by Open Door staff, the children's compassionate hearts made the holidays unforgettable for many families who would have been unable to have one.
