Rotary Club Inducts New Members, Honors Top Donors

The Rotary Club of West Anne Arundel County inducted two new members and recognized its Paul Harris fellows.

The Rotary Club of West Anne Arundel County inducted two new members on Friday morning, and took time to honor several members for their financial commitment to the club. 

Arlene Rayburn of the Bank of Glen Burnie and David Kay of M&T Bank became the newest members at the club's weekly meeting Friday morning. 

In addition, the club recognized five members who have donated more than $1,000 to the Rotary Club Foundation.

The members were recognized as Paul Harris Fellows for their high level of contribution to Rotary. 

Club President Kristi Hill was honored for her contribution of more than $1,000, along with club secretary Dave Magayna.

The club recognized past president Mary Groven for her contribution of more than $2,000 over the years, while Fran Korwek was honored for donating more than $5,000. Peter Grayson earned special recognition for giving more than $7,000.

The Rotary club also announced that it will hold its holiday party on Dec. 21 at 6 p.m. at the Odenton Masonic lodge. Attendees are asked to bring an unwrapped toy to be donated to Sarah's House, a local place offering housing and services to needy families.
