Teens Arrested for Stealing Food from Fort Meade School

Officers at Fort Meade said two 14-year-old boys broke into MacArthur Middle School over the weekend and stole food items.

Officers from the Department of Defense and Anne Arundel County Police Department arrested two teens in connection with the theft of food from a Fort Meade school on Sunday afternoon.

At about 4:30 p.m., DOD police officers at Fort Meade responded to an alarm from MacArthur Middle School on the military base.

Police said that upon arrival, they saw a male teen leaving a back door of the school, and another teen ran back inside. Both teens were apprehended, and police said an investigation revealed they had stolen food from the school, which was closed for the weekend.

Anne Arundel County Police officers from Western District also came to the school with K-9 units to see if there were any other suspects in the school, and found none.

The two teens, both 14-year-old boys from Fort Meade, were handed juvenile citations for first and third degree burglary, theft of under $100 and malicious destruction of property.
