The Cat Wants You to Help Feed the Hungry

Customers at the Gambrills General Store this week may have noticed a box by the door to collect canned goods to help feed hungry families in the area. 

Pumpkin, the store's cat and mascot, found the box to be a cozy place to hang out. 

Store co-owned Janet Garman sent over this photo of Pumpkin. 

"Guess he thinks the grass is greener in a different home," Garman said. "Pumpkin always finds the funniest places to nap."

The canned goods are being collected by the Rotary Club of West Anne Arundel County and will go to the Christian Assistance Program food pantry in Severn.
