US Foodservices Lands Contract to Feed Troops

The Severn-based operation will serve meals to branches of the Armed Forces under a $13 million contract.

The US Foodservice operation based in Severn recently won a sizable contract to serve meals to service members. 

The company's Baltimore-Washington armed landed a $13,799,658 contract for food distribution to the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard and Job Corps. 

US Foodservice was the only company that bid on the contract, according to the Department of Defense. It will carry out the contract through Nov. 9 of 2013.
