Kamenetz Defers Water Tower Project
County executive writes in a letter that a consensus on any one of six sites is unlikely.
A water tower project slated for the Reisterstown/Owings Mills area has been indefinitely put on hold.
"While I am confident that the engineering data supports the construction of the tower, it is also clear to me that reaching community consensus on any of the is not likely to occur," County Executive Kevin Kamenetz wrote in an Oct. 31 letter to residents. Kamenetz writes that he has decided to defer the tower project indefinitely and "reallocate the $6 million budgeted for the water tower to fund other important water and sewer projects in the county."
