REISTERSTOWN: “There needs to be adult supervision at the bus stop when kids that young are getting off the buses and walking home. The 7-Eleven and the gas station right there is prime hunting ground for unsavory activity. I see the BaCo police cars camped there occasionally, but maybe their presence is needed at prime bus time.”-Hetty Cassutto Haden, commenting on the Reisterstown Facebook page on a a 10-year-old and 6-year-old.

OWINGS MILLS: “I do not necessarily think the mall should be torn down, but it should be revitalized. Owings Mills is a great place to live, but the condition of the mall, the way it is, is an eyesore and does not leave a favorable impression of the town with prospective inhabitants, or with the people who currently live here.” – Gwen Hyman-Watson on whether the Owings Mills Mall should be torn down.

CATONSVILLE: “I agree that there are some people out there that think because a wonderful outcome occurred why fix the system and let’s move on. This incident is a WAKE UP CALL not just for CHS, but to all HS in the state. All HS principals should be looking at their emergency plans and routes, and touching base with their local fire departments on a bi-annual basis, and making sure they are in compliance with the MD law of having AEDS on the athletic fields.” – Reader “chsmm1” on a Catonsville Patch story on the incident when a Perry Hall field hockey player collapsed after leaving the field at Catonsville High School.

ARBUTUS: “I will never forget that's for sure. … All of Arbutus was pretty much shut down by fire equipment or by cars of bystanders just wanting to get a last glimpse of the Hollywood Movie Theatre. As I walked towards downtown Arbutus I could smell the smoke and as I stood on that island I could feel the heat of the fire. … I can remember as a small child the movies were $1. Those days are long gone now, but I'm so glad that the Hollywood Theatre and Paul's were rebuilt. I now take my own kids to both establishments and frequently tell them what the bricks outside of the movie theatre mean.” – Reader Amy Magbulos on an Arbutus Patch story about the fire.
