10 Gubernatorial Candidates Hosted By Stevenson University, MSBA
Stevenson is holding interviews the week of Dec. 6 with candidates for Maryland governor with co-sponsor the Maryland State Bar Association.

STEVENSON, MD — Stevenson University will host Maryland's gubernatorial candidates in December for a series of interviews with the candidates.
The interviews will take place Dec. 6 to 10 at the university's Greenspring Valley campus. While the public cannot attend, all interviews will be live-streamed in partnership with co-sponsor the Maryland State Bar Association.
“Stevenson is pleased to provide a digital venue through which the citizens of Maryland can learn more about the field of gubernatorial candidates and their views on the many important issues facing the state,” Stevenson University President Elliot Hirshman said in a statement.

Gov. Larry Hogan is serving his second term as the leader of Maryland, where governors are term-limited and may only serve two consecutive terms.
The primary election will be June 28, 2022, and the general election will be Nov. 8, 2022.

Former State Senator Robert "Bobby" Zirkin will moderate the debates and handle the interviews, according to a statement from the MSBA, which reported the focus would be on critical issues facing Marylanders and those in the legal profession.
“Presenting the premier interviews and debates to Maryland lawyers and the public is an opportunity we’re incredibly honored to spearhead as we offer potential candidates a platform to present their plan on moving our state forward in 2022 and beyond,” said Natalie McSherry, president of the Maryland State Bar Association.
The nonpartisan interviews and debates will be streamed live at msba.org/governor-candidates/.

Debates will take place in person in March, April and June, with the final debate in June set for the MSBA's annual summit in Ocean City.
