Winter Weather Advisory Issued For Baltimore County

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — Baltimore County is under a winter weather advisory Friday due to the potential for freezing rain.

Road conditions may be hazardous during the Friday morning commute, prompting the National Weather Service to issue the advisory.

Northern Baltimore, Carroll, Frederick and northwest Harford counties are under the winter weather advisory from 5 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday.

Rain will shift to freezing rain during the winter weather advisory period, and forecasters say up to 0.1 inch ice may accumulate.

Drivers should expect slippery roads, and pedestrians should watch their first steps on sidewalks, driveways and stairs due to the potential for ice.
