PERRY HALL, MD — A $2 million traffic circle in Perry Hall has been proposed in the Baltimore County budget for FY 2023.

It will be at the intersection of Cross Road and Honeygo Boulevard, according to Councilman David Marks, who called it his top priority and said he has been advocating for more than a decade for a traffic light or circle there.

"I would like to sincerely thank County Executive Olszewski and his staff for supporting this project, my highest priority in Perry Hall," Marks said in a statement this week.

Specifically, the $2 million in funding will be used to design and construct a traffic circle and make other changes as identified by the Department of Public Works.

Since December, more than 3,200 people have signed an online petition calling for changes at the intersection of Honeygo Boulevard and Cross Road.

"I would like to thank Tracy Mason for initiating this petition, all the residents who signed the petition, and the Perry Hall Improvement Association and neighborhood groups along this corridor," Marks said.

Marks said he also secured funding to resurface 7 miles of Joppa Road, Schroeder Avenue and other routes throughout Perry Hall and Carney in the latest budget.

He expects the traffic circle at Honeygo and Cross will be built by the end of 2022.
