Fatal Crash Victims Identified After Truck Hits Crane On I-83: Police
The victims were identified after a fatal crash on Interstate 83. Police said two died, and four were hurt when a truck hit a crane.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — State troopers identified the victims in a recent fatal crash where a truck hit a crane in northern Baltimore County.
Authorities on Thursday identified the deceased as 53-year-old Kevin Johnson of Ruther Glen, Virginia and 61-year-old James Hutson of Ephrata, Pennsylvania. Police said they died at the scene.
Troopers said Johnson drove the pickup truck and Hutson drove the Peterbilt Crane.

Authorities said an ambulance took another four unidentified victims to WellSpan York Hospital in York, Pennsylvania for treatment.
The Maryland State Police said the crash happened Oct. 23 just after 2 p.m. on Interstate 83 near York Road.

Troopers said a pickup truck hauling a trailer was heading south on I-83 when it lost control for unknown reasons, crossed into the northbound lanes and struck two vehicles before crashing into a mobile crane.
Authorities said the trailer hit another vehicle during the crash.
Police are still investigating the cause of the wreck, which closed northbound I-83 for more than five hours.
