Fire at Apartment Building Affects Transformer, 2 Vehicles
No injuries were reported from the fire in Perry Hall.

Two vehicles were burned, residents were evacuated, and electrical service was out of order after a transformer explosion Thursday at a Perry Hall apartment building.
An electrical fire caused a transformer to explode at 3907 Hannon Court, according to a news release Friday from the Baltimore County Fire Department.
However, no apartments were affected by the fire, and there were no injuries, it states.
At 2:26 p.m., the Baltimore County Fire Department investigated "an electrical odor in the mechanical room," the release states. "After arriving, the electrial transformer on the exterior of the building exploded, causing high levels of carbon monoxide" inside the building.
The explosion set on fire two vehicles that were near the transformer, the release states. Crews used water and foam to put out the fires, then ventilated the building and allowed residents to return inside.
However, there was no electrical service, so firefighters suggested residents stay elsewhere until it was fixed.
Approximately 30 pieces of equipment and 120 firefighters were called to the scene to assist, according to the news release. Firefighters worked until about 5 p.m.
