Former Pastor Charged With Child Sex Abuse In Baltimore County
A former youth pastor was charged with child sex abuse in Baltimore County, police said. Officers alleged that the abuse lasted four years.

ROSEDALE, MD — Police announced Thursday that they arrested a former Rosedale youth pastor on child sex abuse charges.
Officers said they arrested Thomas George Pinkerton Jr., 52, on multiple sex offense charges stemming from abuse that occurred between 2006 and 2010.
Authorities said Pinkerton worked during that time at Central Christian Church, located in the 7400 block of Rossville Boulevard.

Detectives think the abuse occurred at the church and at Pinkerton's Baltimore County home.
"These are just allegations at this time," Pinkerton's attorney, Justin Michael Hollimon, told Patch on Thursday. "He's confident that he will be found not guilty when these charges are put before a jury of his peers."

Police said Pinkerton, who now lives in Winder, Georgia, was extradited to Maryland on Wednesday.
Officers said Pinkerton is currently being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center without bond. He has a bond hearing scheduled for Thursday at 1 p.m. to determine whether he will remain in jail until his trial.
Online court records say Pinkerton faces these 24 charges:
- Six counts of second-degree child abuse (Felony)
- Four counts of fourth-degree sex offense (Misdemeanor)
- Six counts of second-degree assault (Misdemeanor)
- Six counts of sexually abusing a minor (Felony)
- Two counts of third-degree sex offense (Felony)
The file says Judge Stanley Ferguson issued an arrest warrant for Pinkerton on June 25. The warrant was served on Wednesday, the records say.
Detectives think there may be more victims who haven't yet come forward.
Authorities asked anybody with information to call the Baltimore County Police Department's Crimes Against Children Unit at 410-887-7720.
