NOTTINGHAM, MD — A pop-up shop that had been at one end of The Avenue at White Marsh last year now has a more central spot in the shopping venue, with the opening of the Makers of Maryland store.

Featuring locally made products, the Makers of Maryland had operated as a pop-up shop from May to December 2021 near Ulta.

Now it is in a storefront next to Banditos, where it will be until October.

More than 50 artists' products are for sale in the store, from crab sauce to candles.

The Makers of Maryland plans to be in this storefront from May to October each year. It will turn into a skate shack for The Avenue's ice skating rink during winter months, organizers say.

Before the holidays, the Makers of Maryland will participate in a Small Business Saturday event on The Avenue with about 70 vendors in the front of the AMC White Marsh and the ice rink area.

"We will promote that as the day to come support all of the Makers they otherwise would’ve supported during the winter months," according to the Makers of Maryland. Small Business Saturday for 2022 will occur on Saturday, Nov. 26.

Makers of Maryland is at 8165-A Honeygo Boulevard, Nottingham, MD 21236. It is behind the green space and stage, near where the skating rink used to be.
