Man Fatally Shot In Baltimore County, $2K Reward Offered For Tips: Police

A man was shot and killed in eastern Baltimore County, police said. It was the county's second fatal shooting of the day.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — A man was fatally shot this weekend in eastern Baltimore County, police announced late Monday afternoon.

Officers have not released the victim's name or age. Authorities have not made any arrests or identified any suspects either.

Police from the White Marsh Precinct said they were called Sunday around 9:05 p.m. for an assault in progress at Belair Road and Madeline Avenue. That's located in the Fullerton-Overlea area.

Officers said they found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound.

A press release said medics took the injured man to a hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

This was the county's second fatal shooting of the weekend.

Authorities also said a 16-year-old boy was shot hours earlier Sunday at a Pikesville hotel. There's no indication that the shootings are related.

Detectives are still investigating both homicides.

The Baltimore County Police Department asked anybody with information to call 410-307-2020. Callers can stay anonymous. Tipsters can also submit information through the county's iWATCH program at iwatch.baltimorecountymd.gov.

The Metro Crime Stoppers, an independent investigator, is also collecting anonymous tips and sharing them with officers. The Metro Crime Stoppers offered a cash reward of up to $2,000 for information that leads to an arrest on felony charges.
