A Family Affair Children's Center

We have a full preschool program serving children ages two through five years old. We use creative curriculum which is a theme based, teacher created curriculum. We have a music teacher who comes once a week and we take several field trips a year. Our 2’s and 3’s Program In our 2’s and 3’s room we focus on helping children master self-care tasks such as toilet-training and using cups and forks as well as building social skills. We also lay the foundation for future academic learning with the basics such as the alphabet, colors, and basic math skills such as patterns and counting. Our 4’s and 5’s Program Our 4’s and 5’s program focuses on Kindergarten readiness. We cover all developmental areas including literacy, math concepts, science, social skills, music, and art all couched within a fun and interactive theme such as “Animals” or “The Beach.” Learning activities related to each of those topics are done throughout the week. Before and After School Care We provide before and after school care for children who attend Pine Grove or Harford Hills Elementary. We are open when schools are closed. We do a variety of indoor and outdoor activities such as: ○ Table games ○ Crafts ○ Legos ○ Outdoor play We also offer homework help, a morning and afternoon snack. Children are picked up and dropped off from the center by the BCPS bus system. Summer Camp We offer a school age summer camp for Kindergarten—5th graders. County officials celebrated the opening Friday of the new <a href="http://www.atlanticdesigninc.com/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Atlantic Design</a> manufacturing building in White Marsh. The company, which makes equipment used to dispose of grit during construction, has worked on restoration of historic bridges—including the Chesapeake Bay Bridge and the Golden Gate Bridge—as well as Naval and commercial shipyards. The 42,000-square-foot facility at Baltimore Crossroads @95 is more than double its former home, according to a county news release. "We're pleased Atlantic Design has joined Baltimore County's business community," County Executive Kevin Kamenetz said in a news release. "The business park at Baltimore Crossroads@95 is the perfect fit for a growing manufacturer." County Councilwoman Cathy Bevins also attended the ribbon-cutting.
