PIKESVILLE, MD — A Pikesville gym teacher accused of complimenting female students' looks and touching their legs faces new child sex abuse charges. The charges stem from his sexually suggestive language and inappropriate dances where he grabbed his groin, court documents say.

Court records say Windsor Mill resident Jordan Christian Adams, 28, was arrested on June 18 and charged with two counts of second-degree assault, a misdemeanor. Adams teaches at Northwest Academy of Health Sciences.

The records say a grand jury indicted Adams on July 28, keeping both assault charges and adding four felony counts of sexually abusing a minor. The indictment elevated the case from District Court to the higher Circuit Court, which handles more serious charges.

Two separate female students alleged that Adams touched their thighs at school, charging documents reviewed by Patch say. He's also accused of rubbing one of the girls' hands on multiple occasions.

Adams is accused of asking one girl, "What's up bad bitch?" and telling another she's cute and could attract anybody she desires.

The court papers also allege that Adams performed two inappropriate TikTok dances in front of students.

In one dance, he's accused of swaying his body as if he were spanking someone and repeatedly saying a profanity. One girl reported that she saw him swing his erect genitals, the charging documents say.

In the other dance, Adams is accused of placing his hands in front of his genitals and simulating a sexual act.

Adams does not yet have a trial date scheduled. He has an initial appearance on Sept. 2.

"BCPS is fully cooperating with law enforcement on this matter," Northwest Academy Principal Phillip Robinson said in a letter to families. "Mr. Adams is on administrative leave and is barred from BCPS property."

Adams has worked for BCPS since 2022. He has worked at Northwest Academy since August 2023. He was employed as a student safety assistant at Sudbrook Middle Magnet School in 2022.

"These charges represent a complete breach of trust, responsibility, and the law, and this alleged behavior will not be tolerated in BCPS," Robinson said. "We hold our employees to a high standard and these allegations violate that."

Online court records do not list an attorney for Adams. Patch sent a message to Adams' school email address to request a comment. An out-of-office reply said Adams does not have access to email and asked inquiries to be directed to Principal Robinson. Robinson has not responded to Patch's request for the contact information for Adams' lawyer.
