Nottingham Business Sells $50,000 Scratch-Off Ticket: MD Lottery
A Royal Farms store near Perry Hall sold a five-figure winning ticket, according to the Maryland Lottery.

NOTTINGHAM, MD — A Nottingham convenience store sold a $50,000 lottery ticket recently, according to the Maryland Lottery.
He went into the Royal Farms store in the 6300 block of Nottingham Drive to get a drink and walked out with two scratch-off tickets, including one for the Cash Bonus game.
The $10 ticket offers the chance to win by matching two numbers, with the prize amount listed below the match. There are 21 slots offering opportunities to win.

“I saw the first $10,000 and knew I won, but I still had four other matching spots,” the winner told lottery officials. “The number just kept going up and up and up. It was very exciting.”
He waited until his wife got home to tell her the news, lottery officials said. She was used to him winning, officials said, and asked whether it was $100 he had won.

"I couldn’t believe when I saw all of the $10,000 prizes on the ticket," she said. "I was so happy he won.”
While he said he planned to save the prize money, she told officials: "We'll do a little spending."
The couple has one adult child, according to authorities.
