A Family Affair Children's Center

We have a full preschool program serving children ages two through five years old. We use creative curriculum which is a theme based, teacher created curriculum. We have a music teacher who comes once a week and we take several field trips a year. Our 2’s and 3’s Program In our 2’s and 3’s room we focus on helping children master self-care tasks such as toilet-training and using cups and forks as well as building social skills. We also lay the foundation for future academic learning with the basics such as the alphabet, colors, and basic math skills such as patterns and counting. Our 4’s and 5’s Program Our 4’s and 5’s program focuses on Kindergarten readiness. We cover all developmental areas including literacy, math concepts, science, social skills, music, and art all couched within a fun and interactive theme such as “Animals” or “The Beach.” Learning activities related to each of those topics are done throughout the week. Before and After School Care We provide before and after school care for children who attend Pine Grove or Harford Hills Elementary. We are open when schools are closed. We do a variety of indoor and outdoor activities such as: ○ Table games ○ Crafts ○ Legos ○ Outdoor play We also offer homework help, a morning and afternoon snack. Children are picked up and dropped off from the center by the BCPS bus system. Summer Camp We offer a school age summer camp for Kindergarten—5th graders. WHITE MARSH, MD — A pedestrian died Wednesday night after she was struck by a car on Pulaski Highway, according to Baltimore County Police.Tami Lee Somerville, 26, of the 11000 block of Red Lion Road, was pronounced dead at the scene.According to investigators, Somerville was crossing Pulaski Highway at Stevens Road near midnight. There was not a crosswalk at the intersection, according to police.The vehicle, a Honda Civic, was heading east on the highway when it struck Somerville.Police have not released the name of the driver, who remained at the scene.This crash continues to be investigated by the Baltimore County Crash Investigation Team.
