A Family Affair Children's Center

We have a full preschool program serving children ages two through five years old. We use creative curriculum which is a theme based, teacher created curriculum. We have a music teacher who comes once a week and we take several field trips a year. Our 2’s and 3’s Program In our 2’s and 3’s room we focus on helping children master self-care tasks such as toilet-training and using cups and forks as well as building social skills. We also lay the foundation for future academic learning with the basics such as the alphabet, colors, and basic math skills such as patterns and counting. Our 4’s and 5’s Program Our 4’s and 5’s program focuses on Kindergarten readiness. We cover all developmental areas including literacy, math concepts, science, social skills, music, and art all couched within a fun and interactive theme such as “Animals” or “The Beach.” Learning activities related to each of those topics are done throughout the week. Before and After School Care We provide before and after school care for children who attend Pine Grove or Harford Hills Elementary. We are open when schools are closed. We do a variety of indoor and outdoor activities such as: ○ Table games ○ Crafts ○ Legos ○ Outdoor play We also offer homework help, a morning and afternoon snack. Children are picked up and dropped off from the center by the BCPS bus system. Summer Camp We offer a school age summer camp for Kindergarten—5th graders. Perry Hall Mission BBQ's grand opening this month supported the Baltimore County Police Department with a special fundraiser. A check was presented to police on Wednesday.  The restaurant released the following statement and above photo:  <blockquote> It was an honor for owners William Kraus and Stephen Newton to present a check to Police Chief James W. Johnson on Wednesday November 28, 2012. The funds were raised at Mission BBQ in a charity event held prior to the opening of the store. At Mission BBQ it's our mission to serve those who serve. We believe in thanking our police, fire, military and first responders for what they do everyday.
