Perry Hall Republican Hosting Firearms Town Hall

Delegate Joe Boteler will join five other elected officials for the forum Saturday.

Republican lawmakers are planning a town hall meeting in Parkton Saturday morning to discuss firearms.

The meeting comes as legislators discuss gun regulation bills in Annapolis. Last month, the Senate passed Gov. Martin O'Malley's Firearm Safety Act of 2013. It still has not passed through the House of Delegates.

Delegate Joe Boteler, who represents Perry Hall, will join Senator J.B. Jennings and Delegates Rick Impallaria, Susan Aumann and Pat McDonough for the town hall on March 16.

"All are invited to come and weigh in on current firearm laws as well as firearm law proposals before the General Assembly," according to an email from the group of lawmakers.

Organizers have reached out to the Associated Gun Clubs of Baltimore, the National Rifle Association, and Maryland Shall Issue for participation.
