New Perry Hall Royal Farms Celebrating With Food, Donations
The grand opening of the 9620 Belair Rd. location is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday.
The Perry Hall Royal Farms opened on Dec. 21, but its official ribbon cutting is planned for Tuesday, Jan. 8.
Inside the store at 9620 Belair Rd., free coffee and soft drinks will be served before the 10 a.m. ceremony. Company president John Kemp will then lead a ribbon cutting, followed by donations to community organizations, Royal Farms announced.
Free samples of chicken, wraps and other foods will follow at around 10:20 a.m., according to the company.

Area residents and members of the business community are invited to attend.
The 5,000-square-foot store broke ground in July 2012 and features eight fuel pumps. It took the place of a former BP gas station.

Following the December opening, some community members complained that another convenience store and gas station was not needed in the area. Others said they hoped it would bring more competition to gas prices.
Since its opening, the price of regular gas per gallon at the Royal Farms has risen from $3.19 to $3.35.
