Woman Hit By School Bus Identified As 55-Year-Old: Police

Police identified the woman who was fatally struck by a school bus in Rosedale. Officers said the 55-year-old fell into the roadway.

ROSEDALE, MD — A school bus fatally struck an adult female pedestrian who fell into the roadway Wednesday in Rosedale, police said.

Officers identified the victim as Lisa Hennessey, 55, noting that she died at the scene.

Authorities said the driver of the 2015 International Bus was not hurt.

The Baltimore Banner reported that there were no children on the bus.

The bus was not a Baltimore County Public Schools bus, The Banner said.

The Baltimore County Police Department said the crash happened around 1:55 p.m. at Philadelphia Road and Ridge Road. That's located in a commercial area with a gas station, a car wash and several eateries nearby.

Officers are still investigating.
