St. Joseph Maintenance Building Destroyed in Fire

The cause of the early Saturday blaze is still under investigation.

A maintenance building at St. Joseph Church was destroyed by fire early Saturday morning.

Firefighters were called to the scene at 3:25 a.m., said Baltimore County Fire Department spokeswoman Lt. Julia Dillard.

"The building and all of its contents have been deemed a total loss, and we are already working with the Archdiocese Offices of Risk Management and Insurance," the church said in a statement to parishioners posted on its website. "For now just pray for your parish and that the work ahead of us all goes smoothly."
