WOODLAWN, MD — A woman was arrested after a 56-year-old in her care was found in "deplorable conditions" and later died, Baltimore County police announced Tuesday.
Officers accused Brittany Brooks, 34, of the "vulnerable adult abuse."
Authorities said they were called to the 1400 block of Kirkwood Road at the request of medics.

Police said they found the victim in need of assistance.
Medics took the victim to a hospital, where officers said she died from her injuries last Thursday.

Detectives said they determined that the victim had multiple medical ailments and was therefore in Brooks' care.
Authorities said Brooks was charged with vulnerable adult-related charges and is currently being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center.
