White Marsh Mall Shoplifter Assaults Employee: Police

WHITE MARSH, MD — A shoplifter assaulted an employee this weekend outside White Marsh Mall, police told Patch on Monday.

Officers said the female suspect assaulted the male loss prevention worker in the mall parking lot.

Authorities said the assault sent the injured man to a hospital.

Officers said they were called to the 8200 block of Perry Hall Boulevard around 1:50 p.m. Saturday.

Authorities said the call initially came out as a stabbing.

The Baltimore County Police Department said it found the victim with a cut to his hand. He's expected to survive.

This altercation happened about six days after officers said a woman was shot and hospitalized near the mall.

Authorities have not yet identified any suspects or announced any arrests in either case.
