8 People Hurt In Montgomery County Crash, Officials Say

Eight people were hurt in a crash that occurred on Shady Grove Road over Interstate 270, officials said.

ROCKVILLE, MD — Eight people were hurt in a crash that occurred on Shady Grove Road over Interstate 270 Wednesday morning, officials said.

Two people were seriously injured in the crash around 11 a.m., Montgomery County Fire & Rescue Battalion Chief Steve Mann said.

Some people were trapped in their cars after the crash.

Around two dozen first responders and rescue workers were on the scene, spokesperson Pete Piringer said.

Some lanes were blocked at the time of the accident.
