9 MD Startups Among Fastest-Growing In America: New Ranking

Maryland startups on the Inc. 5000 list saw rapid revenue growth while fighting inflation, rising interest costs, and hiring challenges.

MARYLAND — More than 100 startups with roots in Maryland are ranked among the fastest-growing private companies in America in the 2024 Inc. 5000 list. Nine of those companies rank among the top 500.

The companies on the list have experienced rapid revenue growth in recent years while navigating inflationary pressures, rising interest costs and hiring challenges from 2020 through 2023. The top 500 companies on the list had an average median three-year revenue growth rate of 1,637 percent. Together, the 5,000 companies on the list have added 874,458 jobs over the past three years.

To qualify for the ranking, companies must be U.S.-based and must have been generating revenue by March 31, 2020. Although some of the startups may have gone public or been acquired since the review period ended, the list represents companies that were private, for-profit and independent as of Dec. 31, 2023, Inc. said.

The companies must also have had minimum revenues of $100,000 for 2020 and $2 million for 2023. See the full methodology.

  • No. 12 nationally Autosled, a logistics & transportation company based in Rockville, grew by 14,001 percent during the three years
  • No. 34 Chaberton Energy, an energy company based in Rockville, grew by 7,297%
  • No. 50 Panda Exteriors, a construction company based in Laurel, grew by 5,504%
  • No. 265 Golden Bear Recycling, a business products and services company based in Middletown, grew by 1,577%
  • No. 289 Connsci, a government services company based in Gaithersburg, grew by 1,483%
  • No. 293 PWG Network Solutions, a telecommunications company based in Rockville, grew by 1,444%
  • No. 318 Windsor Group, a government services company based in Bethesda, grew by 1,349%
  • No. 376 Dobbs Defense Solutions, a government services company based in Baltimore, grew by 1,169%
  • No. 402 J29, a government services company based in Millersville, grew by 1,101%
