Assaults, Burglaries and Drug Arrests in Rockville City Police Reports

Arrests and incidents for July 1 to 22.

 

The following is compiled from crime summaries provided by the Rockville City Police Department. Arrests do not imply guilt. 

700 block of East Gude Drive: A 52-year-old man was arrested at 10:14 p.m. on July 13 for driving on a revoked license, driving without a license, possession of a controlled dangerous substance—marijuana and possession of controlled dangerous substance paraphernalia. A 35-year-old woman also was arrested for possession of possession of controlled dangerous substance paraphernalia.

13000 block of Atlantic Avenue: A 27-year-old man was arrested at 11:27 a.m. on July 16 for malicious destruction of property, second-degree assault and reckless endangerment.

700 block of Hungerford Drive: A 50-year-old man was arrested for first- and second-degree assault and breach of peace between 4:25 and 4:31 p.m. on July 17.

2700 block of Keynes Lane: A 28-year-old man was arrested for trespassing and disorderly conduct between 10 and 10:30 p.m. on July 17.

100 block of Gibbs Street: A 21-year-old man was arrested for disorderly conduct between 11:20 and 11:28 p.m. on July 19.

600 block of Hungerford Drive: A 16-year-old girl was arrested for theft and second-degree assault between 6:20 and 6:27 p.m. on July 21.

Incidents

100 block of Fallsgrove Boulevard: The complainant reported that an unknown subject entered her apartment and removed a cell phone and a laptop between noon on July 1 and noon on July 7.

Unit block of Monroe Street: The complainant reported that while in the process of moving, an unknown subject removed a painting from her apartment between 3 p.m. on July 13 and 10 a.m. on July 18.

300 Cedar Lane: The complainant reported that an unknown subject removed her purse containing a wallet, a cell phone charger, credit/debit cards, two checkbooks, and a driver’s license from an unlocked vehicle between 7:30 and 11:00 p.m. on July 16.

2000 block of Veirs Mill Road: The complainant reported that as he was locking the door to his business to close for the night between 10:26 and 10:27 p.m. on July 16 an unknown subject approached him from behind. The subject demanded money and threatened the complainant. After not receiving any property from the complainant, the subject fled the scene.

Suspect description: A white male, possibly of Hispanic origin, 25 to 30 years old, 5 foot 6 inches to 5 foot 7 inches, 150 to 170 pounds, with short black hair and a medium build. He was last seen wearing a red bandana covering his face, blue jeans and a white t-shirt.

700 block of Azalea Drive: The complainant reported that an unknown subject removed a purse containing U.S. currency, a wallet, a driver’s license, and three bank/credit cards from a vehicle between 3 p.m. on July 16 and 6:30 a.m. on July 17.

800 block of Azalea Drive: The complainant reported that an unknown subject removed two iPods from an unlocked vehicle between 8 p.m. on July 16 and 9 a.m. on July 17.

800 block of Azalea Drive: The complainant reported that an unknown subject removed a camera and a parking pass from an unlocked vehicle between 9 p.m. on July 16 and 7 a.m. on July 17.

Unit block of Hawthorn Court: The complainant reported that an unknown subject removed U.S. currency, a wallet, a driver’s license and four credit cards from an unlocked vehicle between 4 and 7:30 a.m. on July 17.

900 block of Hungerford Drive: The complainant reported that an unknown subject removed her wallet from her unattended purse in an office between 1 and 4 p.m. on July 18.

100 block of Gibbs Street: The complainant reported that while he was making change, the subject reached into the cash register and removed U.S. currency at 9:15 p.m. on July 19.

Suspect description: A black male, 40 to 45 years old, 6 foot to 6 foot 3 inches, 180 pounds, with very short black hair. He was last seen wearing glasses, a white button-up shirt and a brown beanie-style hat.

700 block of Twinbrook Parkway: The complainant reported that a subject removed a designer purse, U.S. currency, a cell phone with a case, a pair of designer glasses and a GPS unit from an unlocked vehicle between 8:27 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. on July 20. 

300 block of Martins Lane: The complainants reported that two subjects, one holding a pickax and the other holding a street sign pole, approached at 9:04 p.m. on July 20 and demanded property. No property was obtained and the subjects fled the area.

Suspect descriptions:

  1. A black male, 18 to 22 years old, 5 foot 7 inches, with a muscular build. He was last seen wearing white shoes, a red shirt and gray sweatpants.
  2. A black male, 18 to 22 years old, with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a blue shirt and dark blue pants.

600 block of Harrington Road: The complainant reported that he was walking on a path in the park when four subjects on bicycles approached from behind between 9:30 and 9:35 p.m. on July 21. The subjects demanded the complainant’s property. Once the property was obtained, the subjects fled the scene on bicycles.

Suspect descriptions: Four black males, 17 to 20 years old, 5 foot 8 inches to 5 foot 9 inches and wearing black ski masks.

15100 block of Frederick Road: The complainant reported that an unknown subject removed three steel tables and six steel shelves from the rear of the business between 9:45 p.m. on July 20 and 9 a.m. on July 21. 

13200 block of Atlantic Avenue: The complainant reported that he was walking from a store between 2:45 and 3:00 a.m. on July 22 when three subjects who he knows approached. One of the subjects asked for a cigarette. When the complainant replied he did not have any, one of the subjects pulled out a knife. The other two subjects assaulted the complainant, went through his pockets, and removed U.S. currency. The subjects then fled the area.

Suspect descriptions:

  1. A white or Hispanic male, 24 to 28 years old, 5 foot 6 inches to 5 foot 8 inches, 140 to 150 pounds, with short black hair, a mustache, medium skin tone and a thin build. He was last seen wearing blue jeans and a white short-sleeved shirt.
  2. A white or Hispanic male, 24 to 28 years old, 5 foot 6 inches to 5 foot 8 inches, 140 to 150 pounds, with short black hair, medium skin tone, and a thin build. He was last seen wearing blue jeans and a black short-sleeved shirt.
  3. A white or Hispanic male, 24 to 28 years old, 5 foot 6 inches to 5 foot 8 inches, 140 to 150 pounds, with short black hair. He was last seen wearing blue jeans and a blue short-sleeved shirt.

300 block of Nimitz Avenue: The complainant reported that an unknown subject removed miscellaneous clothing, a designer purse, U.S. currency, a wallet, a driver’s license and a set of keys from a vehicle between 3 and 10 a.m. on July 22.
