Burglar Found Inside Rockville Home By Owner, Police Investigate

A homeowner in Rockville found a man in his house and called police around 3:30 a.m. He believes he got in though an unlocked door.

ROCKVILLE, MD — A Rockville homeowner found a man inside his house early Tuesday morning and chased him out before calling Rockville City police. Authorities say the call came in around 3:30 a.m., and they believe the man got in through an unlocked door.

The home is on Bullard Circle.

"This very concerning event is a reminder to check all your windows and exterior doors to make sure they are locked," the department said on Twitter.

Police are investigating and are asking anyone with information or video surveillance in the area to contact the RCPD Criminal Investigations Unit at 240-314-8938.
