Coming to Rockville: ShopHouse Southeast Asian Kitchen
Asian-themed chain developed by Chipotle is expanding to Rockville, Bethesda.
Chipotle’s Asian-themed spinoff, ShopHouse Southeast Asian Kitchen, has signed a lease at 11800 Rockville Pike, the Denver-based company announced in a news release Monday.
The Rockville location is expected to open by mid-2014. There also are plans to open a ShopHouse along Bethesda Row by “late 2013,” according to Chipotle.
Like Chipotle, ShopHouse has an open kitchen style and lets diners pick and choose specifically what they want in their food orders.

The first and only ShopHouse opened in Dupont Circle in 2011, The Washington Business Journal reports.
The openings are part of the chain’s broader expansion: Two more ShopHouses are slated to open up in Washington, DC, and Los Angeles.
