Fire At Rockville Repair Shop Injures 1, Causes $70K In Damage
A man suffered serious burns to 20 percent of his body in a fire that broke out at Rockville Tire and Auto, officials said.
ROCKVILLE, MD — A man suffered serious burns in a fire that broke out at Rockville Tire and Auto Thursday afternoon, officials said.
Montgomery County Fire & Rescue responded to the fire at the repair shop at 16077 Frederick Rd. Officials said the fire started in the garage and involved fuel and other combustibles.
An employee's clothes caught on fire and burned 20 percent of his body, spokesperson Pete Piringer said. He was transported to the burn unit.

The fire caused about $70,000 in damages, Piringer said.
