GOB, Jobs and a Weather Forecast to Make You Sob
It's the 'The White Stuff' edition of 'The Rundown.' And we're not talking the center of an Oreo.

Good Friday, Rockville.
We're almost there. T-minus less than one hour until 5 p.m. Cue "a magician named GOB."
It's going to be a great weekend weather-wise! (For those of you looking for a reprise of February.) OK, deep breaths.

Let's try to focus on the positives as we bring you the "Really?! On March 26?! Snow-freakin'-way!" edition of "The Rundown":
- Hey kids! Looking for a cure for the "Summertime Blues"? (Yes, I'm so old and so square that I just went there. And I used the word "square"—and "went there.") Well, your county executive doesn't care that "you're too young to vote." Ike Leggett is scheduled to make an appearance at at the . The fair goes from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The county exec is scheduled to take the mic at noon.
- If you didn't get enough men in skirts on St. Patrick's Day (and really, who did?)—and you want to support a good cause, swing by the Montgomery County Firefighters Pipes and Drums fundraiser tomorrow night at .
- I've written this week about the gi-normous Mega Millions drawings, which are still searching for a winner. (What's wrong people? Can't think of anything to do with $312 million? I sure can. You win $312 million, that's a lot of dogs.) They'll try again at 11 tonight. Power Ball also is still searching for a winner as well. Their jackpot? A measly $125 million. Think Power Ball=puppies. (Note to the woman in the SUV with the paw print license tag holder who cut me off on Norbeck Road yesterday: While I do love dogs—though not as much as you, apparently—I'm kidding.)
- Need proof that "it could be you"? (Remember that old Maryland Lottery slogan? And the common refrain after reading the "odds of winning" fine print?: "But probably not.") Check out this via our friends at WUSA9 (and our friends at Rockville Central): OK, maybe not you, but it could be your neighbor. (It's going to be difficult to keep up with the Zhengs.)
- Our friends at Rockville Central also have a post from Roald Schrack that takes a look at the changing demographics in Rockville schools.
- Speaking of school, Rockville Patch is using Facebook to go old school. (In the radio biz, that's what they call a segue. I learned that in school. That's about all I learned about radio, which is why I'm doing this.) Join the discussion and let us know what you remember about "back in the day" (which my wife tells me was a Wednesday) in Rockville.
