Man Fatally Stabbed Outside His Rockville Home: Police

Demarco Rayford, 25, of Gaithersburg has been charged with second-degree murder.

ROCKVILLE, MD — A man is in jail following a fatal stabbing in Rockville, according to Montgomery County police.

Demarco Rayford, 25, of Gaithersburg has been charged with second-degree murder.

Around 9 p.m. Monday, police said they responded to the 10100 block of Reprise Drive for a reported shooting.

At the scene, officers said they located a victim, 25-year-old Deonte Foreman, who had multiple stab wounds.

Police said they administered aid until Montgomery County Fire Rescue arrived. Ultimately, Foreman was pronounced dead on the scene.

During the investigation, detectives said they learned that Foreman and Rayford got into an argument, which escalated into a physical altercation, resulting in Rayford stabbing Foreman.

Police did not say what the two were arguing about or how they knew one another.

Officers arrested Rayford at the scene and transported him to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit.
