Man Wanted In Rockville Liquor Store Armed Robbery

ROCKVILLE, MD — Montgomery County police are searching for a man who they say robbed a Rockville liquor store last week.

According to police, the robbery occurred on July 1 at the store located on the 300 block of North Washington Street. Police said the suspect entered the store, confronted a cashier and demanded money from the cash register.

Police said the suspect then told the cashier he was armed with a gun and lifted his sweatshirt.

The suspect stole an undisclosed amount of money from the cash register, left out the front door, ran to the rear of the business and jumped a fence, according to police.

The suspect is described as a white male, about 16 to 19 years old, with reddish hair. The suspect was last seen wearing a tan floppy-style hat, reflective sunglasses, yellow rubber gloves, a gray hooded sweatshirt, black pants and white tennis shoes.
