MCPD Expands Eligibility For Police-Private Security Camera Program
Montgomery County police have expanded the eligibility of the priority areas of its Police-Private Security Camera Program.
MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MD — The Montgomery County Police Department has expanded eligibility of the priority areas of its Police-Private Security Camera Program.
Locations within the new areas are now eligible to participate in the program.
The Police-Private Security Camera Program is designed to deter and solve crimes by encouraging the installation of security cameras in geographic areas experiencing high crime rates.

An owner or tenant of a property used as a residence, business, or nonprofit organization located within an eligible priority area can apply to participate in the program.
Individuals, businesses, or nonprofit organizations must register online. Residents must purchase and install their security cameras before applying for reimbursement.
