Monday Snow Forecast In Montgomery County: Here's What We'll Get

Yes, we most likely get some snow today. No, it will not amount to much.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MD — What a difference a few days makes. As recently as Thursday, we were on track to get by far the biggest snowstorm of our lackluster winter season. Now, it looks like winter will leave with a whimper here in Montgomery County.

The morning begins with a chance of some light snow, and then those snow chances increase a little bit during the afternoon. However, that precipitation is likely to be a mix of snow and rain with temperatures in the mid to upper 30s, according to a report from the Washington Post's Capital Weather Gang.

We may get a little snow accumulation, but if we do, it will be short-lived. It could lead to some slush build-up into the evening, so keep that in mind for the rush-hour commute.

Just because this snow is going to be a big nothingburger, however, doesn't mean it will be time to break out the spring clothes after today. It should stay pretty chilly with highs in the low to mid 40s throughout this week, and then we may see a bump up to the high 50s by the weekend.

So it looks like we can officially call it: this winter has been a total bust in terms of snowfall (for the second straight year).
