Montgomery County Department Of Police: Concern For Missing Gaithersburg Teenager

Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police- Special Victims Investigation Division (SVID) are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing teenager from Gaithersburg.  

Melania Aracely Cruz, age 16, was last seen on Wednesday, March 9, 2022, in the area of Strath Haven Court.  

Cruz is approximately 5-feet, 1-inch tall and weighs 120 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a black hoodie, black jeans and a hoop nose ring.  

Police and family are concerned for her welfare.  

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Melania Aracely Cruz is asked to call the Montgomery County Police SVID at 240- 773- 5400 or the police non-emergency number at (301) 279- 8000. Callers may remain anonymous.
