Potomac Man Charged With Murder In Grandmother’s Death

A Potomac man walked into a police station Sunday morning to report he had killed his grandmother, according to Montgomery County police.

POTOMAC, MD — A Potomac man walked into a police station Sunday morning to report he had killed a family member, according to Montgomery County police.

Spencer Dillon Hamilton, 27, has been charged with the murder of his grandmother, 87-year-old Pauline Yvonne Titus-Dillon of Potomac, police said Monday.

No motive for the slaying was released by authorities, and investigators did not say how the victim was killed.

Shortly after 8 a.m. Sunday, rescue personnel responded to the 12600 block of Tribunal Lane after Hamilton walked into the Rockville City Police Station and reported killing a family member. Officers located Titus-Dillon unresponsive in the bathroom.

Despite lifesaving efforts by Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service, she was pronounced dead at the scene.

Titus-Dillon was taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore, where an autopsy will be performed to officially determine the cause and manner of death.

Detectives arrested Hamilton at the Rockville City Police Station and charged him with first-degree murder.

He was taken to the Central Processing Unit, where he is awaiting a bond hearing.
