Red Line Service Resumes After Person Hit By Metro

UPDATES: Red Line trains are no longer single tracking, but delays continue in both directions.

(Updated 1 p.m. Thursday): MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MD — Metro riders should expect delays after a person was struck by a Red Line Train at Metro Center Station Thursday.

Train service was halted for over 30 minutes between Farragut North and Gallery Place, with Red Line Trains single-tracking.

Trains have resumed regular service as of 1 p.m. Riders should expect residual delays in both directions.

Police said the victim was brought to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
