Report: Del Frisco Grille Signs Lease at Pike & Rose

Texas-based chain will occupy 7,692 square feet of space at the Rockville Pike development.

Power lunchers may find they’ll have more options on the southern end of the Pike.

Texas-based Del Frisco Grille has signed a lease at the Pike & Rose development, Federal Realty Trust’s work-in-progress project named for Montrose Road and Rockville Pike, the Washington Business Journal reports.

Del Frisco is the more casual version of an upscale steakhouse with a similar name—Del Frisco’s Steakhouse. Del Frsico Grille is expected to occupy 7,692 square feet of space at Pike & Rose, the Washington Business Journal reports (See: Del Frisco’s signs lease for Pike & Rose in Rockville).

There’s already a Del Frisco Grille in Washington, DC, according to the restaurant’s website. The food writers at dc.eater.com had heard rumblings back in June that Del Frisco Grille had plans to branch out, so long as there was a “power lunch business and happy hour crowd” to make it work.

Pike & Rose is a mixed-use development being built at Mid-Pike Plaza. The community will include 1,500 residential units, 450,000 square feet of retail, 1.1 million square feet of office space and a 250,000-square-foot hotel.
