Rockville City Police: Man Assaulted, Robbed on Harrington Road

The following incident reports were provided by Rockville City police. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

Arrests

700 block of Hungerford Drive—A 24-year-old man was arrested on charges of 1st- and 2nd degree assault, reckless endangerment, disorderly conduct, and possession of a dangerous weapon on July 27, between 10:30 and 10:45 a.m.

400 block of Mcarthur Drive—A 48-year-old man was arrested on charges of 2nd degree assault at around 2 a.m. July 29.

1300 block of East Gude Drive—A 59-year-old man was arrested on charges of 2nd degree assault on 2:12 p.m. July 31.

600 block of Denham Road—A 56-year-old man was arrested on charges of marijuana and PCP possession at around 3:30 p.m. Aug. 1.

2200 block of Veirs Mill Road—A 46-year-old man was arrested on trespassing charges at around 11 p.m. Aug. 1. During the course of the investigation it was learned that the subject had an outstanding arrest warrant through the Rockville City Police Department for failing to appear in court for a charge of drinking in public.

800 block of Rockville Pike—A 33-year-old man was arrested on charges of possessing an open alcoholic container at a retail establishment 8 p.m. Aug. 2.

800 block of Rockville Pike—A 36-year-old man was arrested on charges of 2nd degree assault on a police officer, resisting arrest, and possession of an open container at a retail establishment at around 7 p.m. Aug. 2.

1100 block of Higgins Place—A 25-year-old woman was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct, alcohol beverage/intoxicated endangerment, fail to obey a lawful order, and trespassing for an incident that happened between Aug. 3 and Aug. 4. 

1700 block of Rockville Pike—A 20-year-old man was arrested on a charge of malicious destruction of property at 2:35 a.m. Aug. 4.

 

Incidents


400 block of N. Horners Lane—A coin collection, jewelry and a safe were taken from a residence July 26, between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m. Access was gained by removing a bedroom window air conditioning unit.

1200 block of Rockville Pike—Someone gained access into building through unsecured window at 2 a.m. Aug. 1. Once inside the person unsuccessfully tried to gain access into an interior secured section of the building that houses offices.  Nothing was reported missing.

400 block of North Stonestreet Avenue—Money was taken from clothes in an office closet on July 25, between 6:30 p.m. and 8 a.m.

600 block of Harrington Road—A male was hit and robbed by two males on Aug. 1, sometime between 4 and 4:15 p.m. Police said the victim was approached by two males, one of them striking small talk conversation. But then one of the men hit the victim, causing him to drop his keys and sunglasses, police said. The males picked them up and left down Harrington Road, toward Cabin John Parkway.

Police said the males were black, at about 6-feet tall. One of the men was about 150 pounds with a thin build, brown eyes, black hair in an afro, beard and medium skin tone. The male was last seen wearing blue jeans, white T-shirt, and a blue and gray baseball cap. The other man was described as 250 pounds, brown eyes, bald head and a medium skin tone, last seen wearing blue jeans, white shirt.

Unit block of Clemson Court—A wallet was taken from an unlocked vehicle the complainant reported that an unknown subject removed a wallet sometime between 2 p.m. Aug. 3 and 9 a.m. Aug. 4.
