Rockville Holiday Drive Generates $57,000

Rockville’s annual Holiday Drive collected more than $57,000 in gifts of food, toys, gift cards and monetary donations for people in need.

The holiday drive was held in December and January and has been going on for more than 40 years. This year’s bounty was a 9-percent increase over the prior year, the city said in a news release Thursday.

Rockville will recognize volunteers and donors to the Holiday Drive at the Mayor and Council meeting at 7 p.m. on Monday.
