Rockville Man Found Guilty Of Raping 70-Year-Old Woman In Hotel Room
A Montgomery County jury found a man guilty of raping a 70-year-old woman in a Rockville hotel room in May 2022, the state's attorney said.

ROCKVILLE, MD — A Montgomery County jury found a Rockville man guilty of rape in an incident that occurred in a hotel room in May 2022, according to the state’s attorney’s office.
On Thursday evening, the circuit court jury returned its verdict against the defendant, Arash Khosh, 46, who was found guilty on charges of first-degree rape, home invasion and second-degree assault.
Khosh faces the potential of life in prison when he is sentenced on April 29, the state’s attorney’s office said.

On May 15, 2022, at the Hilton Garden Inn located in the 14000 block of Shady Grove Road in Rockville, Khosh forced his way into the hotel room of a 70-year-old woman and sexually assaulted her, according to the prosecution’s evidence.
The victim was unknown to Khosh. Her husband was on the first floor of the hotel at the time having coffee, waiting for the victim to meet him for breakfast, according to charging documents.

“We thank the victim for her courage to testify before the court,” Montgomery County State’s Attorney John McCarthy said in a statement Friday.
“This defendant attacked a vulnerable woman in our community, and the victim’s brave actions will help to prevent him from targeting anyone else,” McCarthy said.
