Smoke Triggers Evacuation Of Office, Restaurant In Rockville
An office building and restaurant in Rockville were evacuated after an overheated HVAC caused smoke inside the building.
ROCKVILLE, MD — An office building and restaurant in Rockville were evacuated after an overheated HVAC caused smoke inside the building Monday night, fire officials said.
The 10-story high-rise at 2000 Tower Oaks Blvd. and the Stanford Grill, on the first floor, were evacuated at about 10 p.m.
Firefighters investigated the source of the smoke and haze and located the burned up HVAC inside.

No one was injured, Montgomery County Fire & Rescue spokesperson Pete Piringer said.
