Water Main Break, Sink Hole Causing Delays In Rockville: Traffic Alert
Drivers are advised to avoid the area of Maryland Avenue at East Jefferson Street in Rockville due to a water main break and sink hole.
ROCKVILLE, MD — Rockville commuters expecting a quick exit before the long New Year's weekend should seek alternate routes on Friday afternoon, as a water main break and sink hole are creating delays near the District Courthouse, according to the Rockville City Police.
Maryland Avenue is closed at East Jefferson Street, according to a 1:25 p.m. post on the Montgomery County Department of Police's official Twitter account. The public is advised to avoid the area and seek an alternate route.
Rockville City Public Works crews were on their way to the scene, according to police.
