Wegmans Confirmed To Open In Rockville
Wegmans, one of the area's favorite upscale grocery chains, will make its debut in Rockville.
ROCKVILLE, MD — Wegmans, one of the area's favorite upscale grocery chains, will make its debut in Rockville. Wegmans has signed a lease to open a store at the 18-acre Twinbrook Quarter, a redevelopment project near the Twinbrook Metro.
"We are excited to announce that we've signed a lease with Wegmans to become our lead retail anchor tenant, at the corner of Halpine Road and Rockville Pike," a statement on the ReimagineTwinbrook website says. "This is just the first of many retail, dining and entertainment features that we will bring to this new destination."
There is no report on when the store is set to open.

Twinbrook Quarter will feature a mix of commercial and residential buildings and programmed public spaces. A one-acre central park will be located in the middle of the community for local events and other gatherings.
In addition to traditional supermarket offerings, Wegmans sells a host of international, natural, organic and kosher foods. The store's wines run the gamut from $6 bottles to selections from world-renowned wine estates, and there are approximately 1,000 different types of domestic, craft and imported beers for sale.

There is currently one Wegmans store in Montgomery County, located at 20600 Seneca Meadows Parkway in Germantown.
