Woman Sexually Assaulted Aboard Red Line Train: Metro Police
BREAKING NEWS: police obtained an arrest warrant for a Silver Spring man they say sexually assaulted a woman on a Red Line train.

ROCKVILLE, MD — Metro Transit Police obtained an arrest warrant for a Silver Spring man they say sexually assaulted a woman on a Red Line train.
Orin Gill, 25, is accused of sexually assaulting a woman and following her when she got off the train at about 10:30 p.m. March 31.
The woman reported to police that she entered the metro at the Rockville station. She was approached by a man who sat next to her and began to engage her in conversation.

When aboard the train, Gill allegedly forced the victim to engage in various sexual acts, police said.
ABC7 reports Gill sexually assaulted the woman and exposed himself to her in the nearly empty rail car. The attack spanned four stops until the woman exited at Medical Center.

Gill followed the woman off the train and allegedly pinned her against a pillar on the platform. They both got on a Red Line train going in the opposite direction, exiting the Metro system at Shady Grove Station.
The woman allegedly texted her boyfriend, who then called 911.
Police stopped Gill at Shady Grove Station and arrested him on an unrelated warrant charge, police said.
The woman was transported to a local hospital for a forensic exam.
Gill remains in custody and there is no ongoing threat to the public at large, police said.
Based on evidence, police issued an arrest warrant for second-degree rape. The warrant has not yet been served as Gill remains in custody on the unrelated warrant charge, police said.
