1 Dead, 2 Injured Following Early Morning Crash In White Oak: PD

SILVER SPRING, MD — A woman is dead and two others are seriously injured following a two-car crash in White Oak early Sunday, according to Montgomery County police.

The collision occurred at Columbia Pike and Industrial Parkway shortly after 1 a.m.

Police said a 2010 Toyota Corolla was turning left onto southbound Columbia Pike, from Industrial Parkway, when it collided with a 2018 Honda Accord that was traveling north on Columbia Pike.

The driver and sole occupant of the Toyota Corolla — only identified as an adult female — was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities said they will release her identity once her family is notified.

The driver of the Honda Accord and his passenger were taken to local hospitals with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.

The fatal collision is under investigation.
